Douglas Township “Mini Festival”

Congratulations to Bonnie White who won the gift basket and

to  Bob Cox who won the 50/50 draw!

East Hants Warden John Patterson (centre) reads the original settler's land grant,

and also accepts the donation of a trooper's uniform for display.

Heritage buffs enjoyed displays in the fire hall as well as Craig Anthony's antique farm equipment barn which was also open to visitors throughout the day.
Our first Washer Toss Tournament was a great success, running all afternoon and entertaining spectators both young & old, even drive-in visitors!
Littler competitors were not forgotten, as youngsters enjoyed their own

tossing games, sack races and lots of fun prizes!

While in the Fire Hall, the pace was more leisurely as 'Come & Go' Bingo played out throughout the afternoon with caller Councillor Greg Grant, while kitchen staff kept the food hot and fresh right up into the evening concert.
And of course a big thank-you to the 'green shirts' the volunteers from KSEED

who kept the events running smoothly all day long...
